Product Shot Inspiration

I began my research for my Product Shot assignment by viewing some creative products shots on a useful web page named Pinterest. In my search for inspiration I came across some aesthetic product shots I thought I should include in my blog.  This first photograph I chose to include in my blog for many reasons. A jewelry shot is something that I am interested in as it combines my passion for photography and jewelry. I also enjoyed the use of shadows in this photo, I think the shadows compliment the ring and brighten the area of the ring which isn't shadowed. This is a product I am considering on shooting so it was great to see some creative ways to take these product shots I chose this next photograph also because it combines fashion and photography, two things I love. I also enjoyed the contrast of colours in this photo.  I included this image as I was entertained by its creativity. It is a brilliant unique way to advertise ear rings. Lab_1 Studio Photography

Lab 1 Studio Photography For my first Studio Photography lab we were working with Natural Light. I completed an indoors task where I selected a subject in this case my classmate Sam and placed him at the window in the classroom. The camera I used for this lab work was a NIKON D3000. In this first photo I placed Sam 90 degrees  parallel to the window where the natural light was coming from. As you can see the light is hitting the right side of his face while the left side is shadowed. Shutter Speed: 1/20sec F Value: 7.1 22mm ISO: 100 In the second picture I have included the subject is turned 45 degrees towards the natural light coming from the window. As you can see the natural light is hitting most of the subjects face. There is a smooth progression of light to dark tones.
